Heyya… How are u all..Today I am going to review the Toni and Guy frizz smoothing curl conditioner. As you all know I have a curly, long and frizzy hair which is like out of control. I have tried many ways to control the frizziness but all in vain. L So as soon as I saw this product without any words, i decided to try it out as Toni and Guy products are trustworthy.

Actually I bought its trial size pack to try it out at first cause I don’t want to buy the full size and waste my money if it’s not working out. This product promises to give you a frizz free curl conditioner with rich conditioning for smooth curls and waves. This starts with a note that “Achieve salon status style with a right products and tools with TONI&GUY”.

They say that this conditioner detangles and rehydrates to tame frizz for smoother curls. It will give your curly or style-curled hair a glossier sheen.

DIRECTION TO USE:

After washing hair with Toni and Guy frizz smoothening curl shampoo, smooth on wet hair. Comb through. Leave for 2 minutes. Rinse.

INGREDIENTS:

Aqua, Cetyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, cetrimonium chloride, phenoxyethanol, vp/va copolymer, glycerine, giyceryl stearate, amodimethicone, polyquatermium-11, citric acid, behentrimonium chloride, parfum, dipropylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, butyl phenyl methylpropional, hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexenecarboxaldehyde, trideceth-10, hydroxycitronellal.

MY EXPERIENCE:

This conditioner comes in a very pretty fuchsia pink color bottle which surely attracts all women. :P There is this cap which is like wide opened , without a diffuser which might result in taking more quantity than needed, but the consistency is too good. Not watery or running so, we can adjust on that point. This product really added an extra glow and gloss sheen when used with my dove hair fall rescue shampoo and together they gave me an awesome smell. I always rinse out with cold water after conditioning , because it is the key to add extra shine to your hair.

 As soon as I used it for the first time, I blow dried it, used my serum and combed well and found out that all my curls were right at their place and with an extra glow. It literally made my hair silky smooth and better.

ADVANTAGES OF TONI AND GUY FRIZZ SMOOTHING CURL 

CONDITIONER:

1. It made my hair glossy and shining.

2. It kept all my curls at place.

3. Reduced frizziness for sure.

4. Loved the smell, very divine and pleasant.

 DISADVANTAGES OF TONI AND GUY FRIZZ SMOOTHING CURL CONDITIONER:

1. Too costly, 250 INR for 75 ml is bit on the costlier side.

2. More better brands are available for this cost even cheaper which does the same job as this.

3. Very small quantity needed to use more and got over in just 4 wash.

I would recommend this only to ladies who have too much of uncontrollable frizz and could afford it for sure.

My rating for this product would be 3 out of 5! J

DOVE HAIR FALL RESCUE SHAMPOO:

Hey all.. Couldn’t see you guys for a long time. Was struck with work and my computer almost died in between. Hope all are doing good. Today I am going to review the Dove hair fall rescue shampoo which I bought almost a month ago and have been using it continuously till today.

I got a free conditioner along with this which was a pretty good steal. The shampoo starts with a note that “ At dove, we know everyone’s hair is different” which is totally true.

The shampoo promises to show visible hair fall reduction in just 2 weeks. It comes with the Trichazole actives which help build the hair molecules strong and makes them firmly locked. This product is in its better innovative form which nourishes hairs from the roots to tips. It leaves the hair beautiful and stronger. This is a complete treatment for hair fall. They suggest using the whole range of dove hair fall rescue intensive roots treatment for better results.

DIRECTIONS TO USE:

Apply to wet hair, lather and rinse. For better results follow with hair fall rescue conditioner.

MY EXPERIENCE:

I have started using this shampoo along with its conditioner and found my hair silky smooth in the very first wash. I have a curly hair and there are few shampoos which make my hair look a bit straighten and this is one among it. I have been suffering from heavy hair fall since the time I joined my gym, and started trying various products to control it. This shampoo does its job well in hair falling.

From the time I had started using this shampoo I have been feeling my hair soft and silky smooth. It reduced the hair fall too gradually. This shampoo acts as very good moisturizer to hair as well. I used to oil before I wash my hair, and this shampoo cleanses my scalp and washes out the excess oil from the scalp which makes me feel better. And also it has the mild smell just like other dove products which I am totally in love with.

Look how lovely my hair looks after washing with this shampoo. Hair is all fluffy, voluminous  and soft! :-D

Recently they have changed the packaging and color too which is awesome and pretty good looking :P  - 

ADVANTAGES OF DOVE HAIR FALL RESCUE SHAMPOO:

1. It makes my hair silky smooth and soft.

2. Straightens my hair a bit.

3. Very mild lovable smell.

4. Does hair fall reduction at least for me.

5. Helps de tangling easy, since I have a curly hair and de tangling is a great task

6. Nourishes and moisturizes the hair.

7. Good consistency and pretty packaging

DIS ADVANTAGES OF DOVE HAIR FALL RESCUE SHAMPOO:

1. Contains SLS L

2. Hair fall reduction happens very slow, still it does.

Overall it’s another dove product which we can rely on. And on continuous use it helps in hair fall reduction definitely.

I recommend it to everyone with minimum hair fall problem.

Have a nice week ahead everyone. Today I am going to review The Body Shop’s Strawberry Body Butter which is something I have been using for the fall. During fall and winter my skin gets dryer than the usual because of the chillness in the weather. So instead of body lotions I always prefer body butters.

We never had a TBS shop before in my city, but then Brookefield’s mall happened and they opened this TBS shop in that. I was excited about my first visit there, and luckily it  happened to be sale time. Why would I resist myself then, and I got some awesome body butters, lotions, shower gels and some of their other goodies to try.

This product claims to be the moisturizer for the normal skin. The body shop body butters do not support animal testing which is a good thing about it. This contains strawberry seed oil, shea butter and cocoa butter which nourishes the skin and keeps it supple.

Strawberry Seed Oil: Provides omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids that help to repair the moisture barrier of the skin, thus helping to restore moisture, smoothness and suppleness.

Shea Butter:Has a high level of antioxidant vitamins a, e and f, which help to protect and nourish the skin.  Moisturizes and helps soften the skin. Provides a rural community of women with regular work and income. That is the community trade.

Cocoa Butter: It is an excellent moisturizer that melts at body temperature, leaving the skin feeling soft and silky smooth.

Shelf Life:

36 months from the date of manufactured

The 12M symbol at the back of this container indicates that this product must have been finished within the 12 months from the date you open it. Even though it has a shelf life of 36 months, the product has to be used up within the 12 months from the date of opening the container.

My skin before application is a bit dry as below.

I took a very small amount at the back of my palm .

Skin Looks more glowing, soft and supple after application. The difference is visible.

My Experience:

I have always loved strawberries; particularly this range gave me the heavenly smell of strawberries. As soon as it’s applied, you might feel sticky for some time till it gets absorbed in to the skin. The strawberry fragrance lasts for at least an hour and then the smell slowly fades. So after some time you still can smell the sweet smell of strawberries, and your skin feels buttery just after a very thin layer of application.

Advantages of The Body Shop-Strawberry Body Butter:

1. The sweet smell of strawberries and the texture are almost a feast for your eyes and nose buds.

2. It makes your skin soft and supple.

3. It has shea butter, cocoa butter and strawberry seed oil which nourishes and moisturizes the skin.

4. It does not support animal testing.

5. It helps in community trading, which is a good social cause.

6. The smell lingers for few hours from the time of application and then it slowly fades.

Dis- Advantages of The Body Shop-Strawberry Body Butter:

1. The price is on the upper side. ( I got it on 50% off sale)

2. It might feel sticky for the first few minutes of the application.

3. The packaging is not so hygienic, it comes in a tub.

The cream’s texture, pink color and the sweet smell altogether makes the butter look like a cup of yoghurt. As I said before it’s a very good product for fall and for all those women who have dry skin problems during the winter . Happy weekend to all my lovely ladies. Today I have come up with an excellent sun screen that I have been using for alost 3 weeks by now. I have fallen in love with.

Sun screen is an essential part of my daily routine. Since I stay in Coimbatore (TN), I have to use a sun screen with a bit high SPF Index, so I had to choose this Jovees sun block with SPF 45.

Jovees products are easily available in every supermarket and they don’t really hurt your pocket. They come under your budget. I got this in my regular super market and I had to choose between Lotus and Jovees. Since I have already used Lotus Sun blocks several times I chose Jovees this time to try.

36 months from the date of manufacture

This product claims that it is a water based Sun Block developed scientifically using the modern production techniques that helps to preserve the integrity of herbs thus ensuring formulation of a thin layer over the skin which protects skin from the harmful effects of UVA/UVB rays.

This sweet and water proof sun block with SPF 45 will also help improve skin texture and complexion while maintaining the moisture balance.

Method of Use:

Apply evenly all over the face and to the skin exposed to the sun. Leave on. Useful for all skin types.

My skin before sunscreen application

I took a small amount of sunscreen at the back of my palm.

Now you can see that my skin is visibly fairer after sunscreen application.

My Experience:

I have been using this product for about 3 weeks and I started loving it overall. It gives a matte effect when you apply and it is non-greasy. I have used several other sun screen products which make me look dull and oily. But this one never made me look oily and cakey. This has a pleasant smell of carrot and sandalwood when you apply it and never made me sweat too.

This improved my complexion as promised over time. Since it has SPF 45 I have to re apply it every 2 hours if I am roaming out. In case if I am using it at office or home, I re-apply it whenever I have to step out in the sun.

Advantages of Jovees Sun Block SPF 45:

1. It gives a matte effect and does not make me look oily.

2. Sturdy packaging with a tight cap.

3. It improves complexion with regular usage.

4. It has a high Index SPF of 45.

5. The price does not hurt your pocket much for the quantity.

6. The shelf life is 36 months so that you can store and use it till 3 years.

7. It gives a very pleasant carrot and sandal smell.

Dis-Advantages of Jovees Sun Block 45:

1. I have to re apply it every 2 hours

Besides this I don’t have any other problem with this sun block. So far, this has done good to me.

I strongly recommend this to people who like mild sandal smell on them and who does not wants to sweat on sun screens.

My experience: 

When I used this scrub, at the starting I had a mild tingling sensation all over my face and a little irritation around my nose and Cupid’s bow area. But after a while the irritation reduced and almost disappeared when I started scrubbing. I used to have heavy blackheads on my nose area and white heads around my mouth. I must say, almost most of the blackheads and white heads are removed and my skin got smooth and supple after I washed it all out.

Advantages of Nomarks Exfoliating Scrub:

1. Removes both blackheads and white heads up to an extent.

2. Leaves the skin smooth and supple immediately after use.

3. Manufactured from organically grown herbs.

4. Good Quantity for the price

5. Very good packaging and hygienic cap that shuts down tightly.

Disadvantages of Nomarks Exfoliating Scrub:

 1. The irritation and the tingling sensation which lasts for 5 minutes.

2. Makes face a little dry after use.

Rating:

I would give 7.5 out of 10 for this scrub.

I recommend this scrub to people who have less blackheads and who can bear the irritation and the tingling sensation. After all it is a good scrub for the price.

I feel so good to write my ever first review on this blog, and before I would start with my product review I would like to thank my best buddy Zinnia for giving me this opportunity. Since we both are jointly hosting this blog now and she is managing the admin part, I will be taking up the review section in majority and she will put up with some amazing DIYs, makeup articles and other posts. And yes of course you girls know she has this love for the sexy men’s section too :p :D  

Now let me come to this facial kit. I bought this facial kit 2 months ago from an online store with 1 on 1 offer and almost it was sleeping on my shelf for long. I remembered this kit when I badly needed a facial and used it up, and I must say, I simply got amazed!

You should start off this product after a routine cleansing routine of your face. You may also use your very own face wash and go on with the kit.

Directions to apply:

Clean the face with suitable cleanser. Take appropriate amount of this scrub and water to make a paste. Apply all over the face and leave for 5-7 minutes. Use frimator brush with little water for 3-4 minutes or massage gently with finger tips. Remove using cold water.

I used this scrub with rose water and it gave me better results. Most of my blackheads were almost gone with this scrubbing process itself so I didn’t need to go for a steam and bother my face.

2. Cucumber Gel:

                   

           

       

Directions to apply:

 Apply a thin layer of gel over face and massage gently. Leave on for 20 minutes and wipe off with moist cotton. Follow up with a freshener and a moisturizer.

3. Peach Massage cream:

     

                     

                               

Directions to apply:

Take an appropriate amount of peach massage cream on your finger tips and apply all over the face and neck with light circular upward movement till it gets completely absorbed in the skin.

This massage cream had an awesome smell, which almost made me hungry for peaches.

4. Orange Anti Tan Pack:

                         

      

            

Directions to apply:

 Take appropriate amount of orange anti tan pack and mix with water. Apply all over the face and neck avoiding the eye area. Keep it on until dry. Wash it with water. Pat dry.

I added rose water with this pack too for better results instead of water.

5. Green Apple Skin Guard Lotion:

                     

                   

Directions to apply:

Take appropriate amount of the lotion and apply all over the face and neck. Massage gently with the finger tips till it gets absorbed.

This facial has got different nutrients of various fruits and gives immediate brightness and glow which last at least for 5 to 7 days. I highly recommend this facial kit to those who are lazy enough like me to go visit a parlor and have your facial done.

Advantages of VLCC fruit facial kit:

1. Gives immediate glow to the skin.

2. Improvises the skin complexion a bit.
